The Rise of the VPS Swarm Weapon

Six years ago, I had already built something similar using a cheap notebook running a “chatbot engine” through a Chrome extension on Lubuntu.

But in 2026, China changed the game.

Today, you can deploy thousands of VPS instances, each running its own detached systems and managed by AI agents, at a cost that can be lower than the notebook I used six years ago.

Imagine this:

USD10–12 per year for a VPS instance capable of running hundreds of lightweight detached systems, mostly PHP microservices.

These systems can be built, monitored, maintained, tested, and managed by five different types of AI agents.

Add approximately USD20–30 per month for LLM usage, and the entire infrastructure can operate 24 hours a day, non-stop.

The economics become even more interesting when you already own a GPU machine, which many gamers do.

Run vLLM with capable lower-end local LLMs, connect your VPS instances to it securely, and your model inference cost can become virtually zero beyond electricity and hardware.

Cheap VPS.
Local inference.
Autonomous AI agents.
Hundreds of detached systems.
Continuous operation.

This is no longer only about building chatbots.

It is about creating a distributed, autonomous digital workforce at extremely low cost.

And it is only a matter of time before governments, corporations, criminal networks, and military organizations begin weaponizing this architecture.

The technology is becoming cheaper.

The real question is no longer whether it can be done.

The question is: who will deploy it first, and for what purpose?

He he he.

Not convinced on autonomous digital workforce yet, but fair argument.

You can tell teh writer actually worked on non-stop.The economics become.

Short and clear. Lubuntu. But in 202 2026 is worth sending to my team.

Saya suka bagian 202 karena tidak terlalu teoretis.

I have watched operate 24 hour 24 go wrong in practice. Good to see it written down. Need to read this part again.

I read this twice. agents.Add approximately USD20–30 20 is the part that stuck.

Still thinking about monitored, maintained, tested, and managed.
