Overview

Antenatal visits track the health of mother and baby. Plans for birth are discussed with the obstetrician. A published maternity package is available; confirm current inclusions with the hospital.

Common symptoms

  • Missed period or a positive kehamilan test
  • Nausea, breast tenderness or fatigue
  • Reduced fetal movements later in kehamilan
  • Bleeding, severe headache or swelling — seek care promptly

Possible causes

  • Normal kehamilan
  • Complications such as high blood pressure or bleeding that need specialist review

When to seek medical help

  • Vaginal bleeding or fluid leaking
  • Severe headache, visual change or marked swelling
  • Fewer fetal movements than usual
  • Regular contractions or pain before your due date
  • Go to Kecemasan if you are in labour or acutely unwell
