From a small herb business to a manufacturing partner
Founded by Tuan Haji Sheikh Mohsin bin Sheikh Marie in 1977, Sari Tani Desa began as a small herb business operating from rented premises on Jalan Pekeliling, Kuala Lumpur. The business grew steadily from a fully Bumiputera company into a manufacturer that has produced a wide range of OEM products throughout its history.
Initially, Sari Tani Desa manufactured its own products and provided office-based services. Today, it also spans OEM contract manufacturing and consulting solutions for many industrial demands — including herbal formulations, packaging advice and product registration.
The company actively engages in research and development for customer products and offers contract research and manufacturing services. With extensive experience, Sari Tani Desa has developed customised and unique formulations to meet its customers’ demands with high-quality products built to client timelines, specifications and National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) requirements.

Founded in Kuala Lumpur
Tuan Haji Sheikh Mohsin bin Sheikh Marie established Sari Tani as a small herb business in rented premises on Jalan Pekeliling, Kuala Lumpur.
Building a product range
Sari Tani began with herbal products including Pill Wanita, Pill Sari Keluarga and Minyak Tapil Cap Wanita, its first massage oil — while planning new spa-oriented herbal products.
GMP certificate awarded
As the business grew, Sari Tani was awarded the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate for its manufacturing operations.
Sari Tani Desa Sdn. Bhd. registered
A new company, Sari Tani Desa Sdn. Bhd., was registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) to continue and expand the business.
OEM & consulting partner
Sari Tani Desa provides OEM contract manufacturing, herbal raw material supply, advisory and grinding services, with HALAL and GMP recognition supporting rapid, reliable new-product manufacturing.
